Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 8, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Revogist. We prioritize our users' privacy above all else. We are deeply committed to protecting your personal information and securing your digital health footprint. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our website, mobile application, and technology platform (collectively, the "Platform"). Revogist is a technology platform that connects patients with verified doctors and medical specialists for online consultations and second opinions. We do not practice medicine.
2. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information, including:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and basic profile details retrieved via secure Google authentication. We rely on standard OAuth protocols and do not collect, store, or manage passwords on our servers.
- Sensitive Personal Data and Health Information: We securely store patient details (name, age, contact info, address), medical case descriptions, and uploaded health documents (such as diagnosis reports or test results) required for your second opinion. Doctors' notes and clinical assessments are also recorded. All sensitive health records, case details, and personal identifiers are strictly encrypted at the database level to ensure maximum confidentiality.
- Payment Information: Transaction references for consultations. All payments are handled directly via UPI (Unified Payments Interface) QR codes. We do not use traditional payment gateways and do not collect, process, or store credit card details or billing addresses.
- Usage Data, Cookies and Analytics: We do not intentionally use tracking cookies or invasive third-party behavioral analytics tools. We only maintain basic operational and security logs (such as IP address and browser user-agent) necessary for platform integrity. Standard anonymous web traffic logs may also be collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) and search engines (like Google) for performance and SEO purposes.
3. Purpose of Processing and Data Usage
We process your information strictly to operate the Revogist platform and deliver our core services. Specifically, your data is used to:
- Facilitate Medical Connections: To securely connect you with independent, verified medical specialists for second opinions and online consultations.
- Manage Health Records: To provide a secure, encrypted digital vault for your medical documents, ensuring they are only accessible to you and the specific doctors you authorize.
- Platform Operations: To schedule virtual meetings, process UPI payments seamlessly, and send essential transactional notifications (such as appointment reminders and consultation updates).
- Security and Integrity: To detect and prevent fraud, authenticate user access, and ensure the technical stability and security of our platform.
Important: We do not sell your personal data, nor do we process your sensitive health information for marketing purposes, targeted advertising, or unauthorized AI training.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Integrations
We may share your data with verified doctors you choose to consult on the Platform. We also use third-party integrations (e.g., Google Meet for audio/video consultations, secure cloud storage providers, and payment gateways) which act as data processors. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data Storage, Security, and Cloud
Your data, including medical records, is securely stored using industry-standard cloud storage solutions. We employ strict security measures, including data encryption in transit and at rest, to protect against unauthorized access or breaches.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active to provide you continuous access to your health history and services. We empower you with full control over your data: you can autonomously initiate a complete account deletion directly from your profile settings at any time. Upon deletion, you will exit the platform and your personal data, along with uploaded medical records, will be permanently pruned from our active systems.
7. Cross-Border Transfers
If applicable, your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not intended for use by children under the age of 18 without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verified parental consent.
9. Your User Rights and Consent
By using Revogist, you provide explicit consent to the collection and processing of your personal and health data. You have the right to access, correct, restrict processing, or request deletion of your personal data.
10. Compliance (DPDP Act, HIPAA, GDPR)
We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws. Our primary jurisdiction is India, and we strive to align our practices with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. We also design our systems with adaptability for HIPAA and GDPR compliance as our operations expand internationally.
11. Changes to Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform signifies your acceptance of these changes.
